Samsung has officially announced their two new tablets in their Galaxy Tab line, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 8.9. If you haven’t heard of them or haven’t figured it out yet, the numbers represent their screen size.
Both will come with an updated Live View interface on top of Honeycomb, specifically designed for the tablets. They each have dual core 1GHz processors, will support HSPA+ as well as have WiFi-only versions. They have also been measured in at 8.6 mm, making them the worlds thinnest tablets.
Here is the pricing and release dates that were announced:
- Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi-only 16GB: $499, available June 8th
- Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi-only 32GB: $599, available June 8th
- Galaxy Tab 8.9 WiFi-only 16GB: $469, available “early summer”
- Galaxy Tab 8.9 WiFi-only 32GB: $569, available “early summer”
If this is true it may be a game changer in the tablet with competitive prices with the specs to back it up.
