The people at Fortune went ahead and asked 250 Android developers what they thought about Android fragmentation. The answers were unsurprising. Yes, app developers think that Android fragmentation is a problem. Other interesting answers came up during the survey. Multiple developers said that they would like to see a united, single store experience where they can sell their applications, much like the Apple App Store. Also, developers said that both the ease of creating apps and receiving payment for the apps was easier on iOS. Even though receiving payment was easier on iOS 71% of developers surveyed were writing apps for Android and only 62% for iOS.
